About Call Me Beauty Mentoring Program

Call Me Beauty Mentoring Program is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young girls ages 4 to 18 across the Carolinas. Since our founding in June 2015, we have mentored over 600 girls from Lancaster, SC, and surrounding counties.

Our Mission

Call Me Beauty Mentoring Program provides a safe space and essential resources to help young girls navigate real-life challenges. We focus on building self-love, self-esteem, and self-worth while incorporating programs on key topics such as:

Meet Our Director

Charquisha McGriff, a Lancaster, SC native, holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from Coastal Carolina University and a Master of Science in Health Education and Promotion. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) through the National Commission of Health Education Credentialing. As the Founder and Director of the nonprofit Call Me Beauty Mentoring Program and the owner and instructor of Tranquil Lotus Space, a yoga and meditation practice, Charquisha is dedicated to fostering holistic well-being. With over a decade of experience in prevention and intervention programming across various settings, she is most passionate about working in the classroom, where she educates children and teens on building healthier lifestyles and forming positive relationships with themselves and others.

At Call Me Beauty Mentoring Program, we are honored to collaborate with organizations that share our commitment to empowering youth and fostering community well-being. Through partnerships with organizations like Lancaster Promise Neighborhood, we strive to create a supportive and empowering environment for the youth in our community.

Lancaster Promise Neighborhood (LPN)

Lancaster Promise Neighborhood is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty in Lancaster County's most economically disadvantaged areas. Focusing on the attendance zones of Clinton Elementary, A.R. Rucker Middle, and Lancaster High School, LPN offers a continuum of free services—from early childhood education to career readiness—to ensure every child has the opportunity for success. ​
